Untitled
August 12, 2007.

We went to Indian Creek to watch the Persied Meteor Shower. Surprisingly few meteors. However, we did watch a spectacular display of lightning, as a storm moved through north of us. I rose early to paint this painting looking up at the Haverstick's place. The painting is 8x10 inches.

White Herron
I have walked so many times around Creve Coeur Lake. I decided to paint there recently. The herrons, mist and water made it an ideal spot. The painting is 10x20 inches.
Forest Park Pavilion
I was fascinated by the warm light outside and the cool light in the pavilion. The groundskeeper hosing off the sidewalk provided a wonderful focal point. Painting is 9x12 inches.
Old Stable Bridge
This is the Old Stable Bridge. The plein air class met here for the first session. While we were painting a man came up to me and wanted to know how long we would be there as he planned to have his class paint there that day, also. It is a beautiful spot. This painting is 9x12 inches.
Boat House
The Forest Park Boat House. I taught a plein air painting class this summer. The class met in Forest Park. This is the boat house. I like the light in this painting.
Indian Creek Road at New Hope Church Road
A recent painting from Indian Creek. I love painting out there, especially early in the morning.
