An inside Painting Tulips in My Studio

A firned brought me Tulips on Christmas Eve.  I naturally had to paint them.  This is a larger painting.  20" high by 16" wide.

I recently finished this winter painting.  I started it sometime ago but never felt comfortable with the direction it was going.  I worked on it quite a bit today and am much happier with it.  It measures 16" x 20" and is painting on stretched canvas.

I had a lovely afternoon painting with my friend Cynthia at La Baroque Creek, Franklin county Missouri.  We had a beautiful day of perfect weather. I'm looking forward to painting out there again. This painting is 6x8" in oil on panel.

Recent Paintings in Forest Park

August Paintings

Last weekend, I was painting out in the country at Indian Creek.  While I did 1 paintings at the Little Indian Creek, 3 of the paintings were not related to the waterways. Instead they were paintings of the fields and roads.

The top 2 are 12" x 16 ", the bottom 2 are 6" x 8". All are oil on birch panel.

Saturday started off cloudy, but my sister and I went at and the weather did eventually clear off. I painted this early in the day. My sister fishing.

Waterlily pads in Forest Park, St. Louis MO, Feeling Monetish....

Just north of Steinberg Ice Rink in this little path by a lagoon, or stream that runs into Jefferson Lake.  There's a section of wooden path that goes over the water and by there waterlilies.   7" x 10" oil on a birch panel.

The Bank of the Indian Creek July 5, 2015

 I painted this on July 5, 2015 . 6" x 8" oil plein air.  I was sitting on the edge of the Indian Creek. The water was high from all the rain.
