Visual style of learning

Time recently had an article on Visual versus Verbal learning styles.  Apparently, there isn't a basis for this distinction. But I was struck by the quote of Harold Pashler
"It seems fairly plausible that teachers might gain a lot by using teaching methods that mesh with the learner's preferences," he says. "Undoubtedly that has some intuitive appeal."

I've launched a project to draw everyday. Maybe a new years resolution but project is a much more popular word than resolution.  My plan is to study the great illustrators by sketching their work. I'll be posting those efforts here.  Raggedy Ann and Andy's creator Johnny Gruelle was my instructor for this little sketch.  The man was brilliant is using strong lines and flat color.  I noticed his round generic flowers were echoed by Mary Engelbreit.
