Another painting from the Sunday Afternoon Series. The father was totally lost in thought. His son wanted to know more about. A 6x8 painting on gesseod panel. I love the slick surface of a gessoed panel.

The Sunday afternoon Series.

I've been painting Sunday afternoon at the Forest Park lake by the ice rink. Most people have lots of fishing equipment and food. The guys had a cooler but seemed to mostly be talking. Maybe their lines were set low, I'd know. But they seemed to be having a wonderful afternoon. Painting is 8x10 inches on canvas panel.

Painted late in the day last week. 6x8 inches on gessoed board. This is the drive way to the cabin. Wouldn't you like to come paint here?

Finally, I got to go out to the country. Although brief, the stay was delightful. No rain. Beautifully warm with cool nights. The cows were in the fields and the donkey was braying up on the hill. 6x8 on gessoed had board.
