Red Earth - the old slab at Indian Creek
A 16x20 inch oil painting. This is the old slab (bridge) over the Little Indian Creek. The rock and soil at Indian Creek has so much iron in it, sometimes there is a red look to the ground.

Botanical Illustration
The Realtor for the house down the street ripped out the garden in the back of the house for sale. I noticed a few green undeveloped tomatoes in the recycling so I took them home to paint.
A dried plant from the country.
These are drawings for my students in the Thursday Botanical Illustration class.

Good Bye to Summer
Summer doesn't end for another month, but today the air felt cool and the water warm. That can only mean that summer is going to be over soon. I painted the remnants of the old slab bridge that will be replaced pretty soon by a huge bridge over both streams. Painted on illustration board, the painting measures 9x12 inches.

Out painting again
Yes I am here. The weather has gotten warm, actually hot! I went out painting at a new place in Chesterfield. Here are my efforts.
At Auction on eBay
Another painting from the day is this one. Looking east. The first painting was looking west. This beautiful park was donated by the owner to the county.
Both painting are 11x14 inches and painted on panels from Source Tek . Joseph McGurl introduced me to them. They are very nice quality and it sure is easier than making you own.
