A Recent Plein Air Painting

Plein Air Red Roses from my Garden
An original plein air painting painted in my garden. This original unframed painting measures 16x12 inches. It is painted on a canvas panel. The painting is signed on the lower left. It is ready to be displayed as is or can be framed, if desired. This mysterious rose has grown to become a star attraction of the garden. It came to me unnamed and almost dead but has grown to be a huge climber, profusely blooming and gracefully covering a wooden trellis gate.

My sister and I were out at Indian Creek. The new bridge is in place. I'm on the gravel bar looking toward it. Oil on panel 12"x 16". The new bridge does seem out of place but as a consolation seems to be providing an excellent habitat for swallows to build their nests under the roadway. This is a great development in mosquito control.

Pastel Plein Air at Indian Creel
I forgot to bring my smaller pochade box. I had only brought along my large Yarka French easel. It was just too heavy to carry down the creek so I took the pastels in a canvas laptop bag. This drawing is approximately 10" by 14". It was a beautiful bright morning.
